If you have an old cast iron race motor back in the corner of the garage you might be able to sell it to a local hot rodder or street stock car guy. Not much else to use them for today. Central Indiana’s Frederickson sprint car team however has not gotten the message. As of this past Friday night they posted a 3rd in their heat and 7th in the A-main. This was their second top ten in two weeks at Gas City.Yes, with a cast iron motor.
Once again this season Jamie Frederickson in the family owned #58 is beating the high dollar teams and raising some eyebrows. They have been plagued by bad racing luck but when it comes together they are a competitive force against some of the best non wing teams in the mid-west. It almost makes one think twice about the only way to be quick is to out spend everyone else. Nice to see perserverance win over dollars.
